What is the difference between dry core and wet core drilling?

Dry cores like the Premier P5-EDDC EVODRILL are used with standard SDS or rotary drills without a water supply. Wet cores require a dedicated diamond drill motor with water feed for cooling. Dry cores are more convenient on site but are limited to smaller diameters. The EVODRILL 22mm is a dry core for use without water.

Can I use the Premier EVODRILL on percussion mode?

Yes. Unlike many dry diamond cores, the EVODRILL is designed to work on both rotary and percussion action (not hammer action). The combination of rotation and subtle pulsing from percussion means the EVODRILL drills faster and works harder through a wider range of materials than rotary-only cores.

What materials can the 22mm EVODRILL cut through?

The P5-EDDC handles hard materials like concrete with hard aggregate, clay products, Indian sandstone and natural stones, plus standard building materials including house bricks, concrete blocks, breeze blocks, handmade bricks, building blocks and York stone.

What drill do I need for the 22mm EVODRILL dry core?

Any SDS-Plus rotary hammer drill with percussion function will work. The 300mm drilling depth suits most single-storey wall penetrations. Make sure your drill has sufficient power for sustained core drilling and use the percussion (not hammer) setting.

What is the drilling depth of the 22mm EVODRILL?

The P5-EDDC 22 x 300 has a 300mm usable drilling depth. This is sufficient for most single-skin and cavity wall penetrations for pipe and cable runs in domestic and light commercial applications.
