How long does the Makita BL1850B take to charge?

Using the Makita DC18RC fast charger, the BL1850B charges from empty to full in approximately 45 minutes. With the standard DC18SD charger it takes longer, around 60 minutes. The battery has no memory effect, so you can top it up at any time without reducing capacity.

Does the Makita BL1850B have a charge indicator?

Yes. The BL1850B has a built-in 4-stage LED fuel gauge on the side of the battery. Press the button and it shows you the remaining charge level instantly. Four lights means full, one light means nearly empty. Useful for planning your day on site.
