The Makita DSP600ZJ is a cordless 165mm plunge saw powered by two 18V LXT batteries in series to deliver 36V output. It eliminates trailing cables on site while providing the cutting performance expected from a mains plunge saw. The brushless motor runs at a variable 2,500 to 6,300 rpm, controlled by a dial for matching blade speed to the material being cut.
Automatic Torque Drive Technology adjusts cutting speed in response to load, maintaining consistent performance through sheet materials, hardwood and softwood without the operator having to manage the trigger. Soft start limits initial torque for controlled entry into the workpiece, and an electronic brake stops the blade quickly when the trigger is released.
Maximum cutting depth is 56mm at 0 degrees and 40mm at 45 degrees, covering the majority of kitchen worktop, flooring and sheet material work. The bevel adjustment runs to 48 degrees with positive stops at common angles. A depth stopper enables repeatable plunge cuts for splinter-free results, and the aluminium base provides a rigid, accurate reference surface that runs smoothly on guide rails.
Compatible with the Makita guide rail system for straight, chip-free cuts in sheet goods and worktops. The anti-tip design prevents the saw from tipping at the start and end of rail cuts. Supplied in a Makpac case as a bare unit. Batteries and charger sold separately. Compatible with all Makita 18V LXT batteries; BL1850B or BL1860B recommended.
