Is the Makita DHR263Z suitable for chiselling?

Yes. The hammer-only mode lets you use SDS Plus chisels for light to medium chiselling work in plaster, tiles and render. The 40-position chisel rotation means you can set the chisel angle precisely for the task. For heavy demolition work, you would need a dedicated SDS Max breaker.

What batteries does the Makita DHR263Z use?

The DHR263Z requires 2 x Makita 18V LXT batteries fitted simultaneously. It ships as a bare unit with no batteries or charger. For adequate runtime when drilling concrete, use 5.0Ah batteries. If you mix different capacity batteries, the tool stops when the weaker one runs out.
