The Makita DML815 is a compact 18V LXT cordless LED torch built for site use. Four 0.5W LEDs produce 160 lumens of focused white light through a multi-faceted reflector, giving you a sharp, round spotlight with decent throw for working in roof spaces, under floors, or on early morning starts.

The 12-position aluminium pivoting head adjusts from 0 to 170 degrees, so you can angle the beam exactly where you need it and lock it in place. Useful when you need hands-free light propped on a surface or hung from the integrated metal hook.

Runtime is where this torch earns its keep. Paired with a 6.0Ah battery you'll get up to 54 hours of continuous use, or around 23 hours on a 5.0Ah cell. That's weeks of real-world use before you need to think about charging. The rubberised soft grip keeps it secure in wet or dusty conditions, and at just 272mm long and under a kilo with a battery fitted, it won't weigh down your tool bag.
