What does L-Class dust extraction mean?

L-Class is the lowest of three dust classification ratings (L, M, H) under EN 60335-2-69. L-Class vacuums capture at least 99% of dust with an occupational exposure limit above 1mg/m3. This covers general construction dust, wood dust, plaster and most common site debris. For silica dust you need M-Class. For hazardous materials like asbestos, H-Class is required.

Can the DVC750LZ be used wet and dry?

Yes. For wet use, remove the HEPA filter first to avoid damage. Wet tank capacity is 4.5 litres, dry capacity with a dust bag is 7.5 litres. Useful for cleaning up after wet drilling, tile cutting slurry, or minor water spills on site.

How long does the battery last on the DVC750LZ?

On a 5.0Ah battery at low suction, expect around 25-30 minutes continuous use. High suction reduces this to roughly 15-20 minutes. For intermittent cleanup between cuts, a single 5.0Ah battery lasts a reasonable session. Keep multiple charged batteries ready for all-day use.

What batteries are compatible with the DVC750LZ?

Any Makita 18V LXT battery from 1.5Ah to 6.0Ah. For practical use, 3.0Ah minimum. 5.0Ah or 6.0Ah batteries give the best runtime. Supplied as a bare unit, battery and charger not included.

Is the DVC750LZ powerful enough for site use?

For its size and portability, yes. 6.7 kPa sealed suction on high handles sawdust, drilling debris, plasterboard dust and light rubble. It is not a replacement for a full-size dust extractor connected to a track saw, but as a cordless cleanup tool you carry around site it does the job well.
