The Makita DGA452Z is a cordless 115mm angle grinder powered by Makita's 18V LXT lithium-ion platform. Designed for cutting, grinding and surface preparation across a range of materials, it accepts the same wheels and discs as mains-powered grinders, making the transition to cordless straightforward for any tradesperson already equipped with 18V LXT batteries.

A 4-pole motor delivers a no-load speed of 11,000 rpm, providing consistent performance through metal, masonry and tile. The anti-restart function prevents the tool from starting unexpectedly when a battery is inserted while the lock-on switch is engaged, and an electronic current limiter protects the motor during heavy use. Both safety features include warning lamps for clear status indication on site.

The slim body and ergonomic grip make this grinder comfortable to handle during extended cutting sessions. At 2.3kg bare, it is light enough for overhead and one-handed work where a mains grinder would be cumbersome. The compact profile also makes it easier to access tight spaces on fabrication and installation jobs.

Compatible with all Makita 18V LXT batteries. Higher capacity cells such as the BL1850B (5.0Ah) or BL1860B (6.0Ah) are recommended for sustained grinding work. Battery and charger sold separately.
