The ForgeFix TechFast Baypole Screw is a 4.8 x 50mm wafer head, TORX drive screw designed specifically for fixing bay window poles, curtain rail brackets and similar light fittings to timber and uPVC window frames. Supplied in a box of 100.

The 50mm length is the shortest in the TechFast baypole range, suited to applications where the receiving timber is close to the frame face or where a shorter penetration is needed to avoid breaking through the back of thin sections. Common uses include fixing curtain pole brackets to softwood window boards, securing small brackets to timber surrounds, and light-duty fixings into battens behind uPVC frames.

The wafer head sits nearly flush with the bracket surface, providing a clean finish without the need for a separate cup washer. The TORX drive provides positive engagement and high torque transfer without cam-out, which matters when driving into dense or aged timber where resistance is unpredictable. The self-drilling point cuts its own hole in timber without pre-drilling.
