The Makita Efficut is a thin-kerf circular saw blade designed specifically for cordless saws where battery life matters. At 1.4mm kerf width, it removes less material per cut than a standard blade, which means the motor works less hard and the battery lasts longer. Makita claim 2.5x faster cutting speed compared to their standard blades, and in practice the difference is noticeable when you're doing a full day of crosscuts on a track saw or plunge saw.
