The ForgeFix 7.5 x 42mm concrete frame screw is a TORX drive masonry fixing designed for securing timber frames, battens, and brackets directly into concrete, brick, and block without the need for a separate plug or anchor. The high-low thread profile cuts its own thread in the pilot hole, pulling the fixing tight against the substrate and delivering strong pull-out resistance with minimal effort.
At 42mm, this is the shortest length in the range and is suited to shallow fixing applications such as securing thin battens, cable clips, threshold strips, and lightweight brackets to masonry surfaces. The shorter length also makes it useful for fixing into concrete lintels and thin block where longer screws risk breaking through the far side.
The zinc yellow passivated (ZYP) finish provides corrosion resistance for interior use and sheltered exterior applications. The TORX-compatible recess (T30) offers superior torque transfer and virtually eliminates cam-out under power driving, which is a common frustration with Pozi or Phillips drive fixings in masonry. Pre-drill with a 6mm masonry bit to the required depth, insert the screw, and drive home. No anchor, no expansion, no alignment issues.
