The ForgeFix 7.5 x 202mm concrete frame screw is a TORX drive masonry fixing for securing timber frames and structural members directly into concrete, brick, and block. The high-low thread profile cuts its own thread in the pilot hole, providing strong pull-out resistance without separate plugs or anchors.
At 202mm, this is the longest screw in the ForgeFix concrete frame range. It exists for the deepest fixing applications: heavy commercial door frames in deep blockwork reveals, structural timber connections through thick insulation packages, and renovation work where frames have been packed out significantly from the wall surface. This is also the go-to length for fixing through double timber layers into masonry, such as doubled-up lining boards or built-up frames.
The zinc yellow passivated (ZYP) finish provides corrosion resistance for interior and sheltered exterior use. At 202mm, the TORX-compatible recess (T30) is not optional. The torque required to drive a screw this length into masonry will strip a Pozi or Phillips recess in seconds. The six-lobe TORX geometry handles it reliably. Pre-drill with a 6mm masonry bit to full depth, clear the pilot hole of dust, and drive with a good quality T30 bit.
