Bond-it B1 Fire Rated Expanding Foam is a high-performance, one-component polyurethane foam designed for fire-stopping and gap sealing applications where building regulations demand a rated product. Tested to BS EN 1366-4 and classified DIN 4102 B1, it provides up to 4 hours of fire resistance, making it suitable for sealing service penetrations, compartment walls and fire-rated partitions.
This is a gun grade foam, so you'll need a standard foam gun applicator (compatible with Bond-it BDAG1 or BDAK45 guns). That gives you far more control over bead size and placement compared to straw-applied foams, which matters when you're working to fire-stopping specifications. The foam expands to over 40 times its can volume, so a single 750ml canister goes a long way.
The cured foam is semi-rigid and predominantly closed-cell, with excellent thermal and acoustic insulation properties. It adheres to all common building materials including timber, concrete, block, stone, plaster, metal and PVC. Temperature resistant from -40°C to +100°C once cured, though not UV stable so it needs to be covered or sealed in any exposed application. Apply between +5°C and +25°C for best results. CFC and HCFC free, with an environmentally friendly propellant meeting current EU regulations.
